Brillian location. Quiet, and on an excellent beach. Close to Playa if you wanted a bit more. Loved the size, a small intimate hotel.

We loved swimming in the ocean, lounging by the ocean, ordering drinking from our beach chair, happy hour special, hammocks, food and service. Proximity to night life, shopping and restaurants is a short cab ride away.

The property was beautifully kept. the staff at the reception desk were hard-working. - the restaurant was really nice for breakfast and dinner, and reasonably priced. - We enjoyed the amenities such as WiFi, a mini fridge bar, and a good-sized balcony.

Fairly clean hotel with prime and secure location in Playa del Carmen next to pedestrian zone and Avenue 5 and excellent nearby restaurants. Very well maintained building and rooms with 2 beds. Delicious food in the open-air restaurant.

I really enjoyed the waiters but the food, which is included. Is mediocre to sometimes bad. There are better options close by. Also wish there was a no smoking section at the beach. In order to get shade on the beach we were often (usually) in direct line of smokers. It's sad to travel a long distance to go to a beautiful beach and breath intense cigarette smoke!

Mahekal is located on a beautiful beach, is meticulously maintained, has a friendly efficient staff, excellent meals, and is an excellent value. It is walking distance from downtown Playa del Carmen. We would go back in a heartbeat!

The location of the resort is stunning and unbeatable, just a 10-15 minute walk from Quinta Alegria Shopping Mall. the staff is absolutely fantastic, offering free concierge service, wake-up calls, and ironing services. the bed in the room is exceptionally comfortable, and the room itself is perfect and elegant.

I loved the location of this resort. It is right on the beach and you wake up to the sound of the ocean waves. The staff are above and beyond expectation and fullfill your every need. The staff also was very helpful in getting our tours scheduled and planning for us. I recommend this resort 100% and I would return. The only thing I could say that I didnt like is that there are no phones or alarm clocks in the rooms which makes it a little difficult.
